Trailer Hub Oil Seal

Trailer wheel hub oil seals are generally composed of three parts: a metal frame, a rubber sealing lip, and a spring. The metal frame is generally made of carbon steel, which has high support and pressure resistance and can cope with high-pressure working environments. The rubber sealing lip is generally made of nitrile rubber (NBR), which is more cost-effective and has good elasticity and wear resistance. It fits tightly with the wheel hub structure to form a sealing layer to prevent the leakage of lubricating oil and the invasion of impurities. The spring is on the inner side of the rubber lip, and through external pressure, the sealing lip fits the trailer wheel hub more closely, further enhancing the sealing effect.

When installing trailer wheel hub oil seals, pay attention to the working environment of the trailer in the area, such as whether it is a severely cold area, whether the air humidity is relatively humid all year round, whether strong winds and dust weather are frequent, and choose the appropriate oil seal material through multiple considerations. The installation must be carried out strictly in accordance with the correct and standardized methods to ensure that the oil seal is installed in place and maintains a good fit between the shaft neck and the wheel hub seat hole to prevent premature wear and leakage of the oil seal.
